Music at Union Memorial School

All Union Memorial School students will perform for parents, friends and the community a mini musical called “Go Fish,” by John Jacobson and John Higgins.  Because there is no performing space big enough at our school, we practice, practice, practice here and then pack everything up and go to Colchester High School to use their Theater!  We hold a dress rehearsal the same day as the performances.  These special performances will be held on Tuesday, February 21 and Wednesday, February 22, 2012.  This is an event not to miss!!  Please mark your calendars now!  Click on the link below to see Parent Notice #1 that went home on Tuesday, January 24, 2012:

First Graders did some moving with this song.  There are only two words in the whole song:  ”Move” and “Freeze”.  Students needed to feel the beats in order to know when to freeze — on the 9th count.  They came up with some very creative ways to move!!

December In Our Town… Deck The Halls… 12 Days of Christmas… Do You Hear What I Hear?… My Dreydl… O Kwanzaa… Frosty, the Snowman… Santa Claus Is Coming To Town… Up On The Housetop… Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer… Jingle Bell Rock… Light The Candles All Around The World… WOW!!!  What great singers we have here at Union Memorial School!!  Check the link below to see photos that can be viewed as a slide show of this annual event.
