Parents, students and school staff walked in the parade

Summer at Malletts Bay School is anything but quiet.  Students are in the building attending summer camps and the ACE summer program.  Classrooms are being cleaned and prepared for the first day of school for students on August 29th.  Mrs. Reith and Mrs. Racicot in the front office are placing orders for next year and changing over student files.  Mrs. Benay and I have already been planning all of the ways we will be working together with teachers to improve student learning in the fall of 2012.

I had a great time walking in the Colchester July 4th parade with the “S.O.S.” group (Support our Schools).  I enjoyed seeing so many students and families celebrating the holiday as a community.  It was a good opportunity to wish everyone a happy 4th and to thank folks for supporting the school budget on the second vote this spring.
