Dinosaurs are beginning to take over our room.  It’s very exciting!   We will be learning about these amazing creatures through reading, writing, math and art.  We will continue to explore dinosaurs throughout the month of January.   I am encouraging your children to bring in anything that you have which pertains to this theme. (ie: books, pictures, models, etc). Our focus in January during literacy time will be informational text.  We will be reading and writing nonfiction pieces in order to understand this topic further.  As a class we will be comparing fiction and nonfiction work and exploring different types of informational texts.

We are excited to be working with Molly Magner.  Miss Magner is a St. Michaels student who will be working and teaching in the classroom   Feel free to stop by to say hello.

Thanks for your support with the reading logs.  As you know it is so important for children to read at home and at school.  I see the results every day.
